How to delete Youtube Watch and Search History?

Deleting your YouTube watch and search history can help maintain your privacy and prevent unwanted recommendations based on your past activity. Here’s how you can delete your YouTube watch and search history:

Deleting YouTube Watch History:
Open YouTube: Visit the YouTube website (www.youtube.com) or open the YouTube app on your mobile device.

Sign In: If you’re not already signed in, click on the profile icon in the top right corner and sign in with your Google account.

Access History: Once signed in, click on the three horizontal lines (the “hamburger” menu) in the top left corner to open the menu. Then, click on “History” from the menu.

Watch History: You’ll see two tabs: “Watch history” and “Search history.” Click on “Watch history.”

Delete All: To delete your entire watch history, click on the “Clear all watch history” button at the top of the page. Confirm the action when prompted.

Individual Video Removal: If you only want to remove specific videos, you can do so by clicking the three vertical dots (options menu) next to each video and selecting “Remove from Watch history.”

Deleting YouTube Search History:

Follow Steps 1-3 above to access the History menu.

Search History: Click on the “Search history” tab.

Delete All: To delete your entire search history, click on the “Clear all search history” button at the top of the page. Confirm the action when prompted.

Individual Searches: If you only want to remove specific searches, you can do so by clicking the “X” next to each search query.

Please note that it may take some time for YouTube to fully remove your history from their servers. Additionally, if you use YouTube on multiple devices while signed in to the same account, the history may sync across those devices. You’ll need to delete the history on each device separately.

Keep in mind that clearing your watch and search history may also affect the recommendations YouTube provides, as it won’t have as much data to base its suggestions on.
